The first museum of wooden architecture opens in Moscow

May 15 at Kolomenskoye starting first in Moscow Museum of wooden architecture.

Solemn opening ceremony of the museum's meeting was preceded by the Round Table, which became the main theme of "Cooperation experience of federal and regional structures, international and Russian public organizations in the preservation, restoration and muzeefikatsii monuments of wooden architecture".

That meeting was the first phase of International scientific conference devoted to preserving the heritage of wooden architecture, scheduled for September 2008 in the town of Day.

Among other activities held in connection with the opening of the museum, will be a photo exhibit entitled "Bezzaschitnye masterpieces. Status of the monuments of wooden architecture in Russia ", as well as a music program: defile and statement of the Central Military Brass Orchestra of the Russian Federation Ministry of Defence under the administration deserved artists RF, chief military conductor RF Ministry of Defense, Major-General V. Khalilov, a concert will take place under the direction of conductor S. Durygina.

In addition, for guests of the ceremony will be held extensive exposition in the turret of Sumy jail, which is part of the museum complex.

The museum of wooden architecture built on the wooden defense architecture monuments, which were transported in 1920-1930 - s-renowned architect restorer PD Baranovsky.

For the first time in Kolomenskoye tower opened XVII Century: Nicolo-Korelskogo monastery, Sumy jail, Bratskogo jail, past scientific restoration.
